Monkey Land

Back on your vehicle, drive up a mountain road deep into the jungle, then disembark at Monkey Land, a 5-acre (2-hectare) squirrel monkey habitat managed by a Canadian couple with over 35 years of experience in wildlife care. Take a 45-minute tour of the grounds, including the botanical garden, which houses native flowers and plants, and meet the curious and intelligent monkeys that roam freely without cages. These little primates are accustomed to human contact, so don’t be too surprised if they jump from a tree onto your shoulder and eat straight from your hands. They’re also not shy with the camera, so they may strike a pose when you take photos.
